Slow Speeds on PlayStation 5
Experiencing slow speeds on your PlayStation 5? You may be connected to a slower (2.4Ghz) band! This guide may help with increasing speeds to your PS5, decreasing latency, and improving download times.
- On your PS5, head to the Settings menu.
- Select Network.
- Select Settings
- Select Set Up Internet Connection.
- Wait for the initial scan to end.
- Press the Options button on your controller to access the advanced settings.
- Select 5GHz under Wi-Fi Frequency Bands.
- The PlayStation will re-scan for Wi-Fi networks on the 5GHz band – this may take a moment.
- Select the network you’d like to connect to, and complete the setup.
