Set Up Your Payment Method

Here is the link to your customer portal, which allows you to better manage your account in any way, at any time. https://portal.ideatek.com

Our IdeaTek portal allows you to:

  • Review past invoices created through the new system
  • Manage your payment method. You can make credit card and ACH payments with no convenience fees. Or, set up payments to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account, and you’ll never have to worry about late payments again. 

To create a new account, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit https://portal.ideatek.com, then click "New portal user? Register an account here!”
  1. Enter the email address associated with your account in the Email Address field.
  1. Check your inbox for a welcome email titled "IdeaTek customer portal account creation.” If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your spam folder. Open the email and click the link to fill out the form using the same email, your new username and your new password.

You can now log in to view invoices and add a payment method to your account. Signing up for autopay also saves you the $3 manual payment processing fee.

​​​Drop-Bury Process - What to Expect

The process of installing our next-generation fiber-optic internet involves burying a fiber line to bring the service into your home. You might notice a small black line in your yard; this is your dedicated fiber line. Following your installation, the IdeaTek bury team will be responsible for burying your line. Utilities in the area must be identified before the line can be buried. We work hard to ensure this is done timely, and we appreciate your patience during this process. 

Our bury team will contact DigSafe to get information on existing underground cables, pipes and sewer lines so that nothing gets damaged during the drop-bury process. Under normal conditions, your line will be buried three to four weeks following the install. However, situations can arise and delay the project, the most common issue being weather.

During this wait time, you’ll notice that utilities in the area will be marked, typically with flags and paint. This indicates DigSafe has been contacted. The bury team usually does not need access to your home to complete this process, and the tools they use are minimally invasive. 

In some instances, a new line may be buried instead of the one in the yard. If this occurs, our customer service team will call you to set up a time for our technician to “cut over” the buried line. You might observe a slight disturbance in your yard, in which case we will do our best to ensure your yard looks as good as it did before we buried the line.
