HomePass App Enable IoT Onboarding Mode

Plume Home App: How to Connect 2.4GHz Devices (Blink Cameras, Amazon Echo, etc.)

Having trouble connecting your Blink Cameras, Amazon Echo, or other 2.4GHz devices to your Plume network? While the advantages of WiFi 6 networks are undeniable, such as increased speed and efficiency, it can sometimes present compatibility barriers for devices requiring a split network and for some older devices. Luckily, the Plume Home app can help you get these devices connected.

In this article, we will walk you through the steps of how to enable IoT (Internet of Things) onboarding mode in the Plume Home App. This mode will temporarily force your phone to connect to the 2.4GHz band of your Plume network, making it easier to connect your 2.4GHz devices.

Once you have enabled IoT onboarding mode, you will be able to connect your devices through their respective setup methods. For example, to connect a Blink Camera, you would open the Blink app and follow the on-screen instructions.

After completing these steps, you will be ready to enjoy the benefits of your Plume WiFi 6 network, even with your 2.4GHz devices.

If you do not have the Plume Home app, you may download it here: Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
